Life can make you feel like you are powerless. You lose a loved one. You lose your home due to a natural disaster. Your job decides you are no longer a part of their plans. When we are not in control, we often feel powerless. The good news is that we have an all powerful God who is on our side. God's power is displayed in many ways:
Job 42:12 reveals God's restoration power
Job had lost all of his wealth and even his children, but God through his restorative power, restored all that he had lost and then some. This teaches us that God has the power to restore us back to whole no matter how broken we may feel.
Matthew 9:27-30 reveals God's healing power
Two blind men cried out to Jesus to heal them and He granted their request. This teaches us that Jesus has the ability to heal any situation or predicament we find ourselves in.
Mark 2:14 reveals God's transformative power
Jesus called Levi (Matthew), a tax collector, who during that time, his profession meant he had to take from the poor to become rich, which made him hated. Jesus transformed his heart by changing his purpose. This teaches us that God can transformed our lives and give our lives new meaning.
Ultimately, because God is powerful, we can tap into His power because Romans 8:11 teaches us that the same power that raised Jesus from dead, resides on the inside us. God's power is transformative, healing, redemptive, restorative, comforting, and so much more. So take advantage of the power you have access to via the All-Powerful God of the Universe! As always stay rooted in God.
