In a world that constantly encourages us to take control and be self-reliant, the concept of surrendering may seem counterintuitive. However, surrendering to Christ is not about giving up or losing power; it's about tapping into God's power, which can transform our lives. It can be difficult to surrender because we love control, but when we attempt to take control and know every detail of our lives, we leave no space for God to be God. I read a quote the other day by Pastor Craig Groeschel that stated "what you attempt to control the most often reveals where you trust God the least". My question to you is, What are you attempting to control and struggling to surrender? Today, I want to show you the beautiful power of surrender.

Surrendering to Christ doesn't mean losing our freedom; it means finding true freedom. Galatians 5:1 NIV says" For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery". When we surrender to Christ, we acknowledge that we are not in control of everything. This realization may seem scary at first, but it's in surrendering that we find true strength. We tap into the power of God, which is a power greater than ourselves, allowing us to face challenges with courage and resilience. Surrendering to Christ empowers us to overcome obstacles and grow in ways we never thought possible.
Surrendering to Christ is not just a one-time event; it's a daily practice. It's about surrendering our worries, fears, and desires to Him in every moment. When we surrender our burdens to the Lord, we have the opportunity to exchange our worries, fears and heartache with His peace and His presence. It's in these everyday moments of surrender that we experience His love, strength and guidance.
Surrendering to Christ allows us to experience peace that surpasses all understanding, knowing that God is in control and will provide for our needs. Matthew 11:28-29 ESV "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls".
It's time to release control and surrender. God can and will handle it.
Meditation Verse:
Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!
